HAWICK AND WILTON CC. 2013
As the Common Riding approaches, Hawick & Wilton have cemented a place at the top of the league table along with Tranent and Heriots. The good form continued with a resounding victory over MDAFS, prizes awarded for guessing the full name!! Skipper Moffat was in excellent batting form with a best of the year 83not out. Gary Alexander opened the inning with a fluid 37. Hawicks bowlers again completed the win with overs to spare, Storey 3for19, Macdougall 2for6, Alexander 2for9.
The Border team again visited Penicuik on Sunday, this time in an ESCA cup match. They gained revenge for the earlier defeat and progressed into the Quarter final. Hawick batted first and set 130 through good batting by Moffat, Anderson & an assured Ronan Alexander. All Hawicks bowlers were on form, bowling accurately and agressively, this restricted the hosts chase to 83 all out.

Teams to comprise of six players, One of whom is Captain and contact.
10 overs per innings.

SPONSORSHIP
Hawick Cricket Club provides teams and coaches at all levels from Primary School to Senior cricket levels. If you want to provide some help and show your support for the club we have several different options available:-
Match Sponsorship: 1st XI Home and Away games can be sponsored at a cost of £50. This helps to cover the cost of hosting and travelling to games. Your details will appear in the local press both before the game and the week following in the match report. Your details will also be advertised on our Club sign on A7 and on this website.
Advertising Board Sponsorship: We will display your own advertising board at all Hawick and Wilton games at all levels during the season, and you wil also be allocated 1 home game where you will be the sponsor for the day - last year we had over 50 matches at various levels on our ground! £120 for 1 board, £200 for 2-this covers both sides of pitch. (We can provide boards at cost price, and you are free to use these during the "closed season" as you see fit-or we can store them.)
