Hawick and Wilton 150th year of playing at Buccleugh Park
Hawick 1st XI Defeat Kelso by 7 wickets!
Match sponsor Will Rodger (Rodger builders, Earlston) presents man of the match Benny Hartop, with his voucher for the New Delhi Restaurant.
Benny took 7 wickets then added an innings of 55 not out, which pipped Will to the MOM award. Rarely can someone take 3 wickets and score 66 no. and not win the award-hard luck William.
150th Season Commemorative game.
Hawick are playing hosts to Langholm on Sat 28th Aug to celebrate first ever game to be played at Buccleugh Park 150 years ago.
" games are planned to be played-The first will be played to the rules of 1860!!! No overarm bowling 2 stumps and beards essential, uniform will be as per 1860-blazers plus fours neck ties etc. Full rules are to be found on the link below.
The second game will be a modern 20/20 with usual club colurs and todays rules.
At night after game in clubrooms we are having Stevie T band playing to help us celebrate into the small hours.Tickets are available from moff. Neil or Greg at £5 each with doors open at 7pm. please come along and help us make it a memorable night,contact anybody at club for tickets asap as they are selling quick and they are limited.
Also we are holding a raffle with various prizes to mark the occasion so when approached give kindly.
